Today after church I forced the kids (none of them were too thrilled with the idea) to go have their pictures taken in front of the new Day Break Temple. (I know that is not the name, but we can't remember what it is going to be called. Is is Oquirrh Mountain, Oquirrh Hills, Oquirrh something? Anyone?) Anyway, I thought it would be neat for them to have a scrapbook page so they can remember watching it be built. I'm still kicking myself for not taking pictures the day we watched them putting the Angel Moroni on top, because that would have made another cool scrapbook page!! Even though they all think I am a dork right now, I'm hoping that someday they will appreciate it. (and everything else I do for them !!)
Standing by the new Temple and looking over the valley you can see the Draper Temple and where the Jordan River and Salt Lake Temples are. I need to remember the huge responsibility we have living here and be better about my Temple attendance! Especially now that I will only have to drive 2 miles instead of the whole ten minutes it takes me to get to Jordan River.
( I just thought I better add this disclaimer. It was not my kids that knocked down the fence!!)

Great Pictures and cute kids.
What a great idea...mind if I copy? :)
Just be careful to watch really closely for cars when you are crossing the street. My girls about got hit by a big old black truck. That would not have made a good scrapbook page!!
I think they call it the Oquirrh Mountain Utah temple, although that's going to be hard to spell! Of course that's nothing compared to the Tegucigalpa Honduras, or Quetzaltenango Guatemala temples!
Whoa- I'm wondering how Marianne knew how to spell those?? Very cute pictures, it is exciting to see the progress on the temple. We are so blessed to have it so close!
What a great idea! I think I might just have to steal your idea and go have my kids have their picture taken in front of the temple. :)
