My visit to New Mexico

I just got back from a fun 4 day trip to New Mexico. (Which I learned while riding in the airport shuttle bus is the "Land of enchantment").  For my birthday my friend Rick took me down to his mom's house for a long relaxing weekend.  She lives in the middle of nowhere in southern New Mexico.  I was expecting desert, but she lives up in the mountains.  It was beautiful.   It was so nice to relax and not have any responsibilities.  I was able to read, watch movies, take naps, go for walks, see a bazillion stars and I even learned how to play poker which is his mom's favorite game.  I thought it was really fun and I even won a few times. On our flight down there we were bumped up to first class which was way cool and then we rented a mustang convertible which was even cooler!  It had such a great time, but it always nice to come home.  My kids even missed me and made me this sign.

wahoo! Sounds like I need a trip to "the land of enchantment." I love the part on the sign that says "thx for coming home." Although it does sound like a tempting place to stay. Glad you had fun.

p.s. thank you and Laura for the carmel apple, so yummy!!
