Mormon Miracle Pageant
I love the Mormon Miracle Pageant! The summer after my junior year in high school a couple of my friends and I decided to be in it. Of course we didn't want to be the boring angels so we were the exciting wicked lamanite dancers. Thank goodness for the brown make up which was more like paint. It's the only time I have looked really tan. It was such a great experience. I took the kids down to see it last year for the first time since they were really little. It ended up raining on us the whole time. It was cold and miserable. So when I saw that the weather was going to be better this year I decided we needed to go again. We had so much fun walking around, eating BBQ turkey, seeing and talking to old friends, Becca and Devin having discussions with the protesters, coloring, playing Old Maid and of course watching the pageant. It was such a fun day! Thank goodness for the Diet Coke that helped us make it home and kept me up until 4:30.

Race for the Cure 2010
We just finished the Race for the Cure for the 5th year in a row. It is a really emotional day for me. I miss my friend Wendi who died from this awful disease 2 1/2 years ago. It is great to be able to walk with her family. I love being able to see all of the funny team names that people come up with. Some of my favorites are "Save second base", "Breast friends", "Breast Jordan Buddies", "The rack pack" and "Bookin for boobies".

My visit to New Mexico
I just got back from a fun 4 day trip to New Mexico. (Which I learned while riding in the airport shuttle bus is the "Land of enchantment"). For my birthday my friend Rick took me down to his mom's house for a long relaxing weekend. She lives in the middle of nowhere in southern New Mexico. I was expecting desert, but she lives up in the mountains. It was beautiful. It was so nice to relax and not have any responsibilities. I was able to read, watch movies, take naps, go for walks, see a bazillion stars and I even learned how to play poker which is his mom's favorite game. I thought it was really fun and I even won a few times. On our flight down there we were bumped up to first class which was way cool and then we rented a mustang convertible which was even cooler! It had such a great time, but it always nice to come home. My kids even missed me and made me this sign.

Cove Fort
I have passed by the exit for Cove Fort many times, but have never stopped. This time on the way to St. George we took a vote on whether or not to stop and if I actually would have counted the votes of the teenagers in my car we would have once again passed right by, but I decided not to listen to anyone between the ages of 11 and 16 so we stopped. We were all dressed for St. George weather in our shorts and t shirts so we about froze to death during the tour, but it was really neat to hear about what life at the fort was like for President Hinckleys grandparents 140ish year ago. Everyone ended up thinking it was pretty cool.

Rosecreek Raptor Honor Roll
Megan was chosen to be honored for Respect in November. We were in Disneyland when they did it so she was just barely able to get her award. Her teachers this year are Mrs. Mower and Mrs. Easton. They said, "Megan shows respect in so many ways. Megan is respectful to her teachers by listening closely to instructions and politely raising her hand if she has a question. Megan is also respectful to her classmates by thoughtfully saying kind words and being a good friend. Megan is a great example in so many ways, especially when it comes to respect!" I am very proud of Megan! She is such a good girl! :)

Jazz game
My friend Chris and I went to a Jazz game last weekend. I was so excited because I had never sat in the lower bowl before. I told him how much Devin loved the Jazz and how jealous he would be, so he was able to get the same tickets for tonight and gave them to me so I could take Devin. Devin was so excited and we had a blast. The coolest thing of all was that President Uchtdorf and his wife and grandson were sitting right across the aisle from us. I tried to take some pictures without seeming like too much of a stalker.lol I finally took Devin over to meet him and shake his hand. It was such a neat experience!
